Principal Electrical Engineer (Hybrid - Acton, MA)

Location: Hybrid, with on-site work required at the hirify.global office in Acton, Massachusetts, United States

Annual base salary: $162,500.00–$243,725.00 for U.S.-based positions; incentive compensation may also apply.

hirify.global is a medical device company developing the Omnipod platform for wearable insulin delivery and other subcutaneous drug-delivery applications.

What you will do

• Lead sustaining, lifecycle engineering, and post-production support for low-power, battery-operated wearable medical devices.
• Own electronics development from early design through commercialization, design transfer, manufacturing support, and product lifecycle management.
• Architect, review, and approve block diagrams, schematics, PCB layouts, and bills of material.
• Lead analog, digital, mixed-signal, power-management, embedded-electronics, and wireless engineering activities.
• Define and execute EMI/EMC/ESD compliance plans and BLE on-body characterization plans.
• Lead root-cause analysis, collaborate with cross-functional teams and external partners, and mentor junior engineers.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or a related discipline and 10+ years of relevant electrical engineering experience.
• Proficiency in analog, digital, and mixed-signal circuit design, power management, PCB/PCBA design, schematic review, layout, and BOM management.
• Strong expertise in Bluetooth Low Energy, wireless communications, embedded electronics, and ARM or RISC-V processors.
• Experience with device-level EMI/EMC/ESD design, testing, analysis, external compliance laboratories, and service providers.
• Experience with laboratory equipment such as oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, signal generators, VNAs, and spectrum analyzers.
• Experience with engineering tools including Cadence OrCAD, Altium, PCB Editor, MATLAB, and Minitab, plus strong communication and root-cause analysis skills.

Nice to have

• Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering or a related discipline.
• Medical wearable device design experience.
• Programming experience in C, C++, Python, or MATLAB.
• Knowledge of RF/EMI simulation tools such as HFSS, Cadence, or ADS, and experience with data analytics or AI tools.
