Principal Electrical Engineer (Hybrid - Acton, MA)

Location: Hybrid role requiring on-site work at an hirify.global office in Acton, Massachusetts, United States

Salary: $162,500–$243,725 annual base salary for U.S.-based positions; incentive compensation may also apply

hirify.global is a medical device company developing the Omnipod wearable insulin management platform and other drug-delivery technologies.

What you will do

• Lead sustaining and lifecycle engineering for production medical device electronics.
• Own electrical product development from early design through post-production support and design transfer to Manufacturing.
• Design and redesign low-power, battery-operated wearable devices, including Bluetooth-connected products.
• Architect, review, and approve block diagrams, schematics, PCB layouts, and bills of material.
• Define and execute EMI/EMC/ESD compliance plans and BLE on-body characterization.
• Lead root-cause analysis for PCB/PCBA and system-level design and manufacturing issues while mentoring engineers.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or a similar discipline and 10+ years of related electrical engineering experience.
• Expertise in analog, digital, mixed-signal, power management, wireless communications, and Bluetooth Low Energy.
• Experience developing complex electronic products from concept through commercialization, preferably medical or wearable devices.
• Strong knowledge of PCB/PCBA design, schematic review, layout, BOM management, and embedded electronics using ARM or RISC-V processors.
• Experience with EMI/EMC/ESD design, testing, analysis, external compliance laboratories, and service providers.
• Experience with laboratory equipment and engineering tools including oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, signal generators, VNAs, spectrum analyzers, Cadence OrCAD, Altium, MATLAB, and Minitab.

Nice to have

• Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering or a similar discipline.
• Programming experience in C/C++, Python, and MATLAB.
• Experience with RF/EMI simulation tools such as HFSS, Cadence, and ADS.
• Data analytics skills and experience deploying AI tools.
