Agency Management Specialist (Insurance)

Location: Remote in the state of Virginia, United States; automobile travel within the territory represents approximately 40–50% of the role.

Salary: USD 96,000–125,000 per year.

What you will do

• Manage relationships between Selective, agents, regional underwriting teams, claims teams, and corporate departments.
• Develop an agency force that pre-qualifies accounts, uses CLAS for in-house rates, processes small business through One & Done and/or the Service Center, and supports profitable new business.
• Make consistent underwriting decisions, follow company pricing philosophies, and promote ease of doing business.
• Monitor agency growth, profitability, share of wallet, compliance, and use of company initiatives, procedures, policies, and systems including CLAS, PLUS, and e-Select.
• Perform inspections, recommend risk improvements or corrections, document files, and audit One & Done business for quality assurance.
• Coordinate regularly with CMS, Loss Control, Bond, Personal Lines, underwriting, claims, and technical teams, including supporting regional training.

Requirements

• Results-oriented professional with a proven record of establishing, prioritizing, and achieving business goals.
• Superior communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
• Strong organizational skills; self-motivated, proactive, flexible, able to work independently from a remote location.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and internal business software, with the ability to maximize technology for productivity.
• Valid state-issued driver's license in good standing and ability to drive an automobile.
• College degree preferred and 5+ years of underwriting, marketing, or field underwriting experience.

• 3 years of agency management and rating experience.
