Senior Manager, Manufacturing Operations (Semiconductor Equipment)

Location: On-site at a manufacturing partner’s facility in Beverly, Massachusetts, United States. Domestic and some international travel are required.

Salary: $130,000–$167,000 annually, plus bonus opportunity.

What you will do

• Lead manufacturing operations for the IBD300 product line, including sub-assembly, assembly, integration, testing, and shipment readiness.
• Partner with engineering, software, supply chain, quality, planning, product management, and service teams to achieve safety, quality, delivery, margin, and cycle-time goals.
• Drive concurrent engineering and design-for-manufacturability improvements focused on modularity, first-pass yield, serviceability, ergonomics, and low-cost sourcing.
• Manage manufacturing plans, staffing, capacity, budgets, performance metrics, product transitions, and manufacturing readiness through the product life cycle.
• Lead quality investigations and corrective actions using structured problem solving, 8D, root cause analysis, and shift-left activities.
• Build and develop a high-performing manufacturing team through recruiting, training, coaching, mentoring, performance management, and workforce planning.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Operations Management, New Product Introduction, or a related discipline.
• At least 7 years of progressive manufacturing operations leadership experience, including production team leadership in a complex manufacturing environment.
• Required experience in high-mix, low-volume capital equipment manufacturing with large-scale systems and complex bills of material.
• Experience with Lean manufacturing, Value Stream Mapping, concurrent engineering, Six Sigma, 8D, root cause analysis, and production quality management.
• Strong business and financial acumen, including product line budgets, capacity, staffing, labor efficiency, and operational metrics.
• On-site presence in Beverly, Massachusetts, and domestic plus some international travel are required.

• Experience bringing a new product to market.
• Knowledge of semiconductor capital equipment.
• Design for Manufacturability training or experience.
• Experience with SAP and world-class MES systems.
