Senior Equipment Reliability Engineer (Semiconductor)

Location: Bedford, Massachusetts, United States; on-site manufacturing and cleanroom environment

Salary: $91,000–$114,000 per year, plus annual bonus eligibility

What you will do

• Manage FRACAS using SAP and production data, perform root cause analysis, and implement corrective actions that prevent recurring equipment failures.
• Lead lifecycle asset management, equipment sourcing, installation documentation, preventive maintenance planning, rebuilds, and long-term asset care.
• Optimize maintenance schedules and implement condition monitoring to extend equipment life and improve labor efficiency.
• Design and redesign fixtures, liners, and custom tools with SolidWorks in collaboration with Process Engineering.
• Lead FMEA, process improvements, shutdown planning, return-to-service activities, and capital equipment acceptance.
• Maintain equipment manuals, support spare-parts management through SAP, and manage LOTO documentation for manufacturing equipment.

Requirements

• BS or MS in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related engineering field, or equivalent experience.
• 3–5+ years of experience in a manufacturing environment, with experience using data for reliability, sustainability, continuous improvement, and cost reduction.
• Mechanical design experience with SolidWorks or similar CAD software and the ability to read mechanical and electrical drawings.
• Experience with RCA, 8D, statistical analysis, FMEA, preventive maintenance, and equipment reliability systems.
• Ability to work with chemicals and in a cleanroom environment using proper PPE, and to support urgent off-hours calls when required.

Nice to have

• Technical knowledge of high-vacuum, RF, pneumatic control, electrical, HVAC, mechanical, and architectural systems.
• PECVD, PVD, or ALD coatings experience and semiconductor industry experience.
• SAP or similar preventive-maintenance management system experience.
• Lean or Six Sigma knowledge, preferably with a Green Belt or Black Belt.
