Production Engineer (Aerospace)

Location: Sunrise, Florida, United States; U.S. Citizenship required for ITAR compliance

Salary: $74,500–$113,500 per year

What you will do

• Provide mechanical support to Design Engineering and Production during development, pre-production, and production of new and legacy products.
• Administer the Empower PLM engineering database and support control of mechanical source files in the PDM database.
• Write and review Engineering Change Orders for mechanical components and assemblies.
• Evaluate defective components and failure analysis reports, supporting risk mitigation and material review activities.
• Maintain and organize 3D printers and gasket fitting equipment for production material requirements.
• Assist with mechanical part and packaging design using SolidWorks and Altium.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in a technical field with 2–4 years of relevant experience, or a master’s degree with at least 1 year of experience.
• Mechanical Engineering background and technical aptitude for working with development and manufacturing teams.
• Experience with PLM/PDM databases, preferably Empower, and with writing or reviewing ECOs.
• Experience supporting CAPA processes and proficiency with Microsoft Office, especially Excel.
• Strong written and verbal communication, professionalism, judgment, planning, organization, and attention to detail.
• Must qualify as a U.S. person or be eligible for an export license under ITAR/EAR; U.S. Citizenship is required.

Nice to have

• Experience maintaining and using 3D printers or gasket fitting equipment.
• Experience with SolidWorks, Altium, and/or PDM.
