Product Line Chief Engineer - Future Missile Systems Development

Location: Remote - Arizona; Huntsville, AL. Domestic U.S. travel of up to 25% may be required. U.S. Citizenship is required due to ITAR/EAR requirements.

Salary: $154,500–$247,250 per year.

What you will do

• Act as the overall technical authority for future missile development programs within the IAMD business unit.
• Lead multidisciplinary engineering teams through product ideation, architecture, development, launch, manufacturing, and sustainment.
• Develop technical concepts, product roadmaps, requirements, project plans, schedules, budgets, and resource estimates.
• Chair technical reviews and approve product documentation and engineering change requests and orders.
• Coordinate with operations, manufacturing, supply chain, quality, customers, senior engineers, and strategic partners.
• Lead root-cause investigations, corrective actions, process improvements, and engineering team development.

Requirements

• Master’s degree or PhD in mechanical, electrical, or systems engineering, or equivalent experience.
• At least 15 years of experience in product design and sustainment, including strong missile defense systems experience.
• Experience with defense products and customers, product lifecycle leadership, manufacturing, product configuration, drawings, BOMs, engineering change systems, and quality systems.
• Experience leading large multidisciplinary engineering teams in Agile and Waterfall environments.
• Project planning experience covering schedules, budgets, and resource estimates, along with strong leadership, communication, influencing, and negotiation skills.
• Ability to obtain a Secret clearance; existing DoD Secret clearance is preferred.

Nice to have

• R&D experience, especially in RF engineering.
• Expertise in missile and launcher design, energetics, high-power amplifiers, signal conditioning, SDRs, AI/ML, image processing, digital signal processing, or robust military mechanical design.
• Experience with MS Office and other office productivity tools.
