Location: Mojave, California, United States; primarily onsite, with hybrid consideration for well-qualified candidates and remote work outside California for exceptional candidates. Travel is estimated at less than 5%.
Base salary: $101,000–$146,500 for Level II, $120,500–$158,000 for Senior level, or $157,000–$206,000 for Staff level.
Company
Develops reusable air-launched Talon testbeds and operationally realistic hypersonic flight testing to provide data for system validation and national security applications.
What you will do
- Derive, document, track, and verify system requirements throughout the program lifecycle.
- Develop test and evaluation plans for components, subsystems, and vehicles.
- Plan and direct test execution, including readiness reviews, test activities, troubleshooting, and post-test data reviews.
- Architect and optimize test data review and analysis methodologies and tools.
- Coordinate with multidisciplinary engineering teams, program management, external customers, and system safety personnel.
- Establish standards for test planning and documentation and ensure compliance.
Requirements
- Direct experience in at least two relevant disciplines, including avionics, seeker systems, energetics, propulsion, guidance and controls, aerodynamics, thermal, or mechanical systems.
- Systems engineering contributions to a major technical review such as SRR, PDR, or CDR.
- Experience integrating one or more missile systems onto a military platform and familiarity with tactical missile constraints and applicable military standards such as 810, 1553, and 1760.
- Experience with MS Office, CAD, configuration management systems such as Jira or Git, and requirements management systems such as Jama, Cameo, or DOORS.
- Ability to obtain and maintain a SECRET-level or higher security clearance.
- Bachelor’s degree and 2–20 years of relevant experience, depending on level.
Nice to have
- Experience integrating high-Mach or hypersonic systems onto military platforms.
- Experience with WOSA, MOSA, kill-chain models, hot-structure airframes, or operational analysis.
- Active TS/SCI security clearance.
- Programming experience with Matlab or Python and CAD experience with NX.
