Space Systems Engineer (Aerospace)

Location: Remote within specified U.S. states or the United Kingdom; active DoD Secret security clearance required.

Salary: $90,000–$130,000 per year, plus equity.

What you will do

• Design and architect technical solutions for space domain awareness, space education and training, and space intelligence applications.
• Analyze functional, non-functional, and business requirements and translate customer needs into solution blueprints.
• Guide multidisciplinary delivery teams through solution development, prioritization, risk management, and roadmap execution.
• Lead workshops, presentations, demonstrations, technical writing, and stakeholder communications.
• Shape the product technical roadmap, milestones, dependencies, and deliverables.
• Support growth and product teams with technical content for RFIs, RFQs, white papers, presentations, and customer briefings.

Requirements

• Active DoD Secret security clearance.
• 6+ years of experience in senior engineering technical leadership roles, preferably in the space industry.
• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Aerospace, STEM, or a relevant field, with focus on astrodynamics, space systems, modeling and simulation, or model-based systems engineering.
• Technical expertise in space systems, systems engineering, and software development.
• Experience with Agile, Scrum, Kanban, or equivalent project management methodologies.
• Experience with technical roadmaps, project risks, requirements management, verification, technical communication, and classified execution.

Nice to have

• Advanced degree in Aerospace Engineering focused on astrodynamics, space systems, modeling and simulation, or model-based systems engineering.
• Experience with space flight applications, product development, or system-of-systems design and execution.
• Active DoD TS security clearance.
