Workday Delivery Lead (Engagement Manager / Project Manager)

Location: Client site in Reston, Virginia; must be local to the Washington, DC metropolitan area or willing to relocate, with onsite work in customer SCIF environments 3–4 days per week. Approximately 5% travel within the Washington, D.C., Maryland, and Virginia region is required.

Salary: $100,901–$199,815 per year.

What you will do

• Lead day-to-day Workday implementation across functional and technical workstreams from requirements and design through deployment and post-production transition.
• Develop implementation plans, milestones, priorities, backlogs, and readiness criteria aligned with the program Integrated Master Schedule.
• Monitor delivery health, risks, issues, blockers, dependencies, resources, and required decisions, escalating program-level impacts to the Program Manager.
• Lead customer-facing implementation meetings, design reviews, milestone reviews, readiness reviews, and issue-resolution sessions.
• Partner with solution architects and Workday leads to maintain scalable, secure, supportable solutions aligned with approved architecture and best practices.
• Lead, mentor, and coordinate Workday consultants, analysts, technical resources, SMEs, and subcontractor personnel while maintaining delivery quality and accountability.

Requirements

• U.S. citizenship is required.
• Must be able to obtain and maintain a government Top Secret security clearance with SCI favorability and CI polygraph.
• 10+ years of experience in enterprise software delivery, technical project management, or Workday implementation leadership.
• Experience leading at least three Workday deployments from planning through go-live.
• Workday HCM Certification, Workday Engagement Manager/Project Manager Certification, and PMP or equivalent certification are required.
• Deep knowledge of the Workday Implementation Methodology and experience leading cross-functional functional and technical teams through requirements, design, configuration, integrations, testing, deployment, and go-live readiness.

• Experience working with Workday product, engineering, or OEM teams.
• Experience with Risk Management Framework and Authority to Operate activities.
• Experience with Department of Defense or Intelligence Community software implementations.
