Production Associate - BGA Re-balling Operator

Location: Ottawa, Ontario, Canada; onsite production role

Salary: CAD 38,200–50,900 annually

Manufacturing and design operations produce rugged, high-quality, small-batch products for military requirements using certified assembly, cleaning, coating, and inspection processes.

What you will do

• Complete the full BGA re-balling process using the required equipment.
• Inspect BGA components and evaluate altered materials against drawings, specifications, IPC, and J-STD workmanship requirements.
• Use a metallurgical microscope to record, analyze, and accurately report inspection data.
• Follow production schedules, written procedures, work instructions, and safety requirements.
• Manage materials and chemicals, perform inventory checks, and handle daily production supplies.
• Support yield improvement, process change, 6S, FOD, spill response, and health and safety activities.

Requirements

• Technical diploma or at least 5 years of manufacturing experience.
• Knowledge of defect recognition and workmanship requirements.
• Good working knowledge of personal computers and technical documentation.
• Strong interpersonal, organizational, communication, and team-oriented skills.
• Ability to manage priorities, meet deadlines, and maintain internal customer relationships.
• Willingness to support three-shift rotations when required.

Nice to have

• Two to five years of soldering experience in a production environment.
• Experience with BGA removal and replacement, BGA rework, or BGA pad repair.
• Technical writing experience.
