TL;DR
Advanced Systems Engineer (Electrical/Optical Systems): Designing and evaluating electrical and optical systems for a federal government contract with an accent on requirements allocation, systems security, and qualification. Location: Onsite in McLeansville, North Carolina, United States

Salary: $75,000–$90,000 USD per year

What you will do

  • Identify, analyze, and resolve weaknesses in system designs.
  • Develop system security documentation and support system accreditation and certification evaluations and testing.
  • Develop and evaluate systems, networks, and information systems against governmental security specifications.
  • Produce technical engineering deliverables throughout the systems development lifecycle.
  • Contribute to frameworks used across multiple products and systems and help shape future product development.

Requirements

  • Active Secret security clearance required.
  • U.S. citizenship required.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Systems Engineering or a related science, engineering, or mathematics field with at least 5 years of relevant experience, or a master’s degree with at least 3 years of relevant experience.
  • Experience designing and qualifying electrical and optical systems, including requirements allocation and decomposition.
  • Experience with requirements lifecycle management and systems modeling tools.
  • Understanding of systems engineering concepts, principles, theories, technical standards, new product development, and transition to manufacturing.
