Associate Systems Engineer (MBSE)

Location: Fully onsite in Mount Laurel, New Jersey, United States. Ability to travel up to 10% of the time as needed.

Salary: $74,000–$150,000 per year; posted pay ranges include $74,000–$116,000 and $90,000–$150,000 depending on experience, skills, and education.

What you will do

• Develop system models supporting software development with SysML v2 and Agentic AI.
• Generate requirements, use cases, verification cases, analysis cases, and structural and behavioral architectures.
• Develop plugins using the SysML v2 API specification.
• Model systems using Cameo Enterprise Architecture 2026x (CATIA Magic).
• Work with MBSE and SysML v2 thought leaders on an active SysML v2 development project.
• Contribute to frontier projects for defense industry customers.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Systems Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Physics, or Mathematics, or equivalent full-time professional experience.
• 0–3 years of full-time professional experience in MBSE, Digital Engineering, Systems Engineering, or related technical roles.
• Ability to obtain and maintain an active Secret U.S. Security Clearance.
• Ability to work fully onsite in Mount Laurel, New Jersey.
• Ability to travel up to 10% of the time as needed.

Nice to have

• Experience creating plugins using an MBSE modeling tool API, including Cameo or MagicDraw.
• Experience modeling using the Modular Open Systems Approach (MOSA).
• OMG SysML v2 Model User Certification.
• OMG OCSMP SysML v1 certification.
• Knowledge of Navy testing programs, practices, and assets.
• System integration and test experience for complex software applications, including commercial or bespoke software testing tools.
