Global Head of Training

Location: Full-time, office-based role in London, United Kingdom, or Sunnyvale, California, USA. Monday to Friday with occasional on-call responsibilities while overseeing a division operating seven days a week.

Salary: US-only estimated range of $157,600–$229,200 per year, plus a competitive equity package. Actual compensation depends on skills, qualifications, and experience.

What you will do

• Own the global training strategy, standards, and operating model across the UK, US, Germany, and Japan.
• Design scalable curricula, onboarding pathways, certification frameworks, and recurrent training for on-road and maintenance operations.
• Set operational readiness and safety thresholds for Vehicle Safety Operators before live deployment.
• Convert product requirements, operational insights, and safety findings into rapid, targeted training updates.
• Build metrics, dashboards, and reporting to measure training effectiveness, readiness, adherence, and intervention priorities.
• Lead Regional Training Leads and Training Coordinators while partnering with Operations, Product, and Safety.

Requirements

• Significant leadership experience in training, capability development, operations enablement, or workforce readiness in a safety-critical operational environment.
• Experience building and leading structured training programs across multiple sites, regions, or countries.
• Experience designing scalable onboarding, certification, and recurrent training frameworks for operational roles.
• Ability to translate operational, product, and safety requirements into practical training content, standards, and readiness criteria.
• Strong experience using performance data, assessments, and operational insight to improve consistency and execution quality.
• Experience leading managers or senior individual contributors and working cross-functionally with Operations, Product, Safety, and senior stakeholders.

Nice to have

• Experience in autonomous vehicles, transport, robotics, logistics, aviation, or defense.
• Familiarity with certification, compliance record-keeping, and audit requirements in regulated or safety-critical environments.
• Experience managing contractor and full-time workforces during a transition to full-time employment.
