TL;DR
Technical Trainer (Automotive/Autonomous Vehicles): Delivering hands-on technician training, certification, and safety instruction for advanced electric and autonomous vehicle fleets with an accent on high-voltage systems, diagnostics, repair procedures, and standardized workflows. Focus on training technicians to remove, replace, validate, and calibrate sensing and compute systems, auditing repair quality, and maintaining vehicle readiness.

Location: Must be authorized to work and reside in Phoenix, AZ, Miami, or other select locations in the United States. Travel up to 30% is required.

What you will do

  • Deliver technician progression, certification, and safety training across multiple technician levels.
  • Build and maintain modular training content tied to skills validation and operational readiness.
  • Train technicians on standardized SOPs, digital repair workflows, diagnostic logic, and maintenance platforms.
  • Provide hands-on instruction for integrated vehicle sensing, compute, battery, electrical, and high-voltage systems.
  • Audit repair quality, escalation accuracy, documentation, and adherence to standardized diagnostic procedures.
  • Coach technicians, support onboarding and cross-training, and certify staff on depot equipment.

Requirements

  • Four or more years of experience in advanced automotive, electric vehicle, robotics, or complex electromechanical maintenance.
  • At least six months of experience supporting autonomous or advanced vehicle platforms.
  • Working knowledge of vehicle sensing, compute, power, and control systems, plus Linux-based diagnostics and log review.
  • Hands-on experience with electrical diagnostic tools, including analyzers, oscilloscopes, and multimeters.
  • Documented high-voltage systems experience and knowledge of electrical safety standards.
  • Associate degree in a technical discipline, ASE or OEM technician certification, or equivalent hands-on experience; a valid driver’s license and acceptable driving history are required.
