Unix/Linux Support Engineer (Linux)

Location: Hybrid in Mexico City (CDMX); conditions list Aguascalientes

What you will do

• Monitor platform alerts and respond to production incidents in Unix/Linux environments.
• Troubleshoot system issues and execute recovery actions to restore services.
• Coordinate with resolver teams and stakeholders on operational incidents.
• Maintain operational documentation, support records, and shift handover notes.
• Escalate recurring or complex issues and contribute to platform stability improvements.

Requirements

• 2–5 years of experience supporting Unix/Linux environments.
• Hands-on administration and troubleshooting experience with Red Hat, Ubuntu, or CentOS.
• Strong command-line skills and knowledge of Linux operating systems.
• Understanding of monitoring tools, alert management, and incident response processes.
• Basic networking knowledge and familiarity with ITIL Incident, Change, and Problem Management processes.

Nice to have

• Experience supporting production environments in a 24/7 operations model.
• Knowledge of Bash shell scripting.
• Exposure to Azure, AWS, or GCP.
• Experience with automation or configuration management tools.
• Familiarity with enterprise monitoring solutions.
