Cloud System Admin

Location: Guadalajara, Jalisco, Mexico; hybrid work with on-site attendance at an hirify.global office 2–3 days per week

What you will do

• Plan, design, implement, configure, and regularly test business continuity and disaster recovery systems.
• Maintain backup infrastructure, server and network monitoring, recovery procedures, and alerting systems.
• Ensure systems are backed up, perform and document restore testing, and maintain DR processes and documentation.
• Maintain infrastructure components, redundancy status, and business continuity for critical applications.
• Administer DR/BCP tests for infrastructure, applications, and customer-facing products and services.
• Work with systems, networking teams, and vendors on server connectivity, network configuration, and infrastructure availability; after-hours testing may be required.

Requirements

• 2+ years of systems or network administration experience in an enterprise environment.
• Experience with data backup and recovery procedures, virtual infrastructure, and cloud infrastructure.
• Understanding of Windows and Linux servers in a production data-center environment.
• Understanding of networking technologies and their impact on servers and service delivery.
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience.
• Ability to investigate and resolve problems, manage concurrent activities, and collaborate with internal customers and technical teams.

Nice to have

• Experience with Azure and AWS, including cloud networking and IaaS.
• Experience with iSCSI SAN, including Pure Storage.
• Experience in a medical-device or FDA-validated environment.
