IT Automation & Support Specialist (macOS)

Location: Mexico City; fully remote working

What you will do

• Manage the macOS fleet through Kandji MDM, including deployments, policies, and a custom OpenVPN setup.
• Administer onboarding, offboarding, SSO, permissions, and other identity and access management processes.
• Support Slack- and Jira-based IT requests, triage issues, and resolve technical problems.
• Maintain self-hosted infrastructure, including firewalls, switches, and internal services.
• Write scripts and lightweight internal tools to automate recurring requests and reduce operational toil.
• Document runbooks and collaborate with the SRE team on infrastructure awareness and escalations.

Requirements

• Solid macOS administration experience.
• Comfort with Linux, including SSH access and log analysis.
• Experience with MDM tools such as Kandji, Jamf, or similar.
• Knowledge of identity and access management, including Okta, Google Workspace, and SSO basics.
• Ability to write and maintain scripts for daily IT automation tasks.
• Basic Git knowledge and a proactive approach to troubleshooting, prioritization, and documentation.

Nice to have

• Basic Docker or container experience.
• Networking fundamentals, including VLANs, firewalls, switches, and VPN concepts.
• Familiarity with Grafana, Datadog, AWS, or other cloud platforms.
• Experience building Slack bots, webhooks, or internal tooling.
