C2 Linux Team Lead (AU) (Linux)

What you will do

• Lead and mentor a technical Linux engineering team and set platform engineering standards.
• Own the lifecycle of Linux platforms across hardware bring-up, production images, long-term support, and deployed assets.
• Architect and customise hardened Linux distributions for specific hardware, performance requirements, and operational constraints.
• Design secure boot chains, TPM integration, immutable root filesystems, minimal attack surfaces, and signed updates.
• Build atomic update mechanisms, reproducible image pipelines, automated tests, observability, diagnostics, and system-level telemetry.
• Provide Level 3 support and collaborate with product, security, embedded, and platform teams.

Requirements

• 3+ years leading and mentoring engineers in Linux, systems, or platform-focused teams.
• 8+ years building and operating production Linux systems or appliances.
• Deep knowledge of Linux internals, including kernel configuration, bootloaders, init systems, storage, namespaces, and udev.
• Strong OS security expertise covering secure boot, TPMs, disk encryption, UKIs, SELinux, seccomp, and integrity tooling.
• Proficiency in Bash and one additional scripting or compiled language; Python or Go is desirable.
• Experience with observability, networking, provisioning, systemd, containers, OCI technologies, and image-based deployment models.

• Experience shipping hardware at scale.
• Exposure to RHEL Image Mode or bootc.
