Claims Processor

Location: Remote, open to applicants regardless of location

What you will do

• Adjudicate and process medical claims accurately and on time in accordance with health plan policies and procedures.
• Gather and verify claim information, maintain detailed processing notes, and resolve claim issues.
• Process appeals and disputes and communicate outcomes to the appropriate parties.
• Provide claims-related guidance to Customer Success and Customer Support teams.
• Identify operational issues, escalate them appropriately, and contribute to improving claims processes.
• Work independently and collaboratively to meet deadlines and daily and weekly processing targets.

Requirements

• Two-year degree and/or two years of claims adjudication and processing experience.
• Exceptional attention to detail and ability to investigate complex claim information.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Ability to learn quickly, work under pressure, and meet deadlines.

Nice to have

• Experience in claims processing and knowledge of insurance principles and procedures.
