Senior COBOL Developer (AS400)

Location: Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam; the work model prioritizes in-person collaboration while offering some flexibility and remote-work support.

What you will do

• Develop application logic from customer-defined specifications.
• Analyze existing COBOL programs to determine changes and resolve malfunctions.
• Maintain and modify production applications to meet user needs and ensure efficient operation.
• Prepare program specifications, diagrams, and logic flowcharts.
• Test, debug, support, and maintain applications across different business environments.
• Report directly to the project manager or team lead.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• At least 4 years of experience with COBOL code analyzer software or projects extracting business logic from mainframe COBOL systems.
• Experience across all stages of the Software Development Life Cycle.
• Experience creating analytical specifications and requirements.
• Experience with health insurance programs.
• Good English communication skills and strong interpersonal and collaboration abilities.
