Senior Software Development Engineer (Back-end) - Paradox - Da Nang

Location: Da Nang, Vietnam; at least 50% of each quarter must be spent in the office or in the field

What you will do

• Design and deliver secure, scalable, performant, and observable backend product features.
• Lead projects from technical design through implementation, testing, rollout, and follow-through.
• Integrate AI-agent and automation tools into requirements refinement, risk assessment, design analysis, and test planning.
• Investigate production issues, perform root cause analysis, and implement durable fixes.
• Use production metrics and service health signals to prioritize reliability, scalability, and technical-debt improvements.
• Mentor engineers and collaborate across teams to manage dependencies and support low-risk launches.

Requirements

• 7+ years of software engineering experience delivering scalable, high-availability cloud products.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
• Advanced programming skills with strong knowledge of data structures, algorithms, object-oriented design, architecture, and system design.
• Experience with automated, unit, integration, end-to-end, and regression testing, as well as production incident resolution.
• Experience with cloud systems, high-I/O databases such as Redis and Aurora, queue or event-streaming systems such as RabbitMQ, and core AWS services.
• Good verbal and written English communication skills; hybrid work in Da Nang with at least 50% quarterly office or field presence.

Nice to have

• Experience with Python and Django.
• Experience defining monitoring and observability strategies using tools such as Datadog.
• Experience driving AI and automation tool adoption across the software development lifecycle.
