Senior Test Manager (Performance Testing, Salesforce & Integrations)

Location: Acton, Massachusetts, United States; hybrid work with required on-site work from an hirify.global office.

Salary: $153,700–$230,500 annual base salary for U.S.-based positions, plus potential incentive compensation.

What you will do

• Define and lead enterprise performance testing strategy across Salesforce, MuleSoft, APIs, and integrated platforms.
• Plan and execute load, stress, spike, endurance, failover, and scalability testing for customer-facing and system-to-system workflows.
• Establish SLOs, performance thresholds, non-functional requirements, and release quality gates.
• Integrate performance and API test suites into CI/CD pipelines for continuous validation and early bottleneck detection.
• Analyze application and infrastructure telemetry, identify bottlenecks, and drive remediation with Engineering, DevOps, Architecture, and Product teams.
• Lead and mentor performance, API, and quality engineers while providing executive-ready performance and release-readiness assessments.

Requirements

• 10+ years of experience in software testing and quality engineering, including leadership of enterprise QA or performance engineering teams.
• Deep experience testing Salesforce across complex enterprise implementations and integrated business processes.
• Strong hands-on experience with JMeter for API, integration, scalability, endurance, and peak-load testing.
• Proven expertise in MuleSoft, API testing, and integrations with external enterprise and downstream platforms.
• Experience designing and maintaining automated performance testing pipelines with threshold-based quality gates, reporting, and trend analysis.
• Strong communication skills and executive presence, with the ability to translate technical findings into business risks and release recommendations.

Nice to have

• Experience with AI-augmented testing tools or copilots.
• Familiarity with Dynatrace, Splunk, Datadog, AppDynamics, Grafana, or similar observability platforms.
• Experience with contract testing, service virtualization, and shift-left validation.
• Background in regulated or high-availability enterprise environments.
• Certifications or advanced knowledge in performance testing, Salesforce, MuleSoft, cloud platforms, or quality engineering.
