Design Engineer

Location: Nuevo Laredo, Tamaulipas, Mexico. Domestic relocation assistance is available. Visa sponsorship is not available. Travel of 10–15% is required.

What you will do

• Evaluate new component salvage projects, techniques, and processes.
• Develop and execute validation plans to meet quality and warranty goals.
• Support new product introduction for Engine Systems products, including print maintenance and release.
• Improve supplier capabilities and performance with buyers and supplier contacts, including warranty joint failure analysis.
• Evaluate product warranty data and address emerging trends, production issues, and quality problems.
• Coordinate prototype building, testing, and analysis for new salvage processes.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering, preferably Mechanical Engineering or a related discipline; significant relevant experience may substitute for the degree.
• Proficient English level required.
• Analytical thinking and root-cause analysis skills.
• Ability to manage multiple concurrent objectives, projects, groups, or activities.
• Experience with computer-aided design and engineering tools, product design, and product development from concept through production.
• Ability to develop solutions to significant technical challenges and communicate effectively.
