What you will do
- Coordinate internal and outsourced development and manufacturing partners supporting product production.
- Analyze defective product units and sub-assemblies, including root causes of production issues.
- Evaluate customer feedback, manufacturing results, testing, and quality assurance processes.
- Recommend and implement product and process changes to reduce defects, improve quality, reliability, safety, and cost efficiency.
- Lead moderate- to high-complexity product engineering and manufacturing projects across their full lifecycle.
- Prepare engineering reports and mentor less-experienced staff.
Requirements
- Four-year or graduate degree in Industrial, Manufacturing, Electrical, Mechanical Engineering, Computer Science, or a related discipline, or equivalent demonstrated competence.
- Typically 4–7 years of experience in product design and development or a related field; candidates with an advanced degree may have 3–5 years of experience.
- Experience with product engineering, product design, new product development, and product lifecycle management.
- Knowledge of data analysis, automation, DFx, product requirements, product roadmaps, and project management.
- Ability to lead complex problems and projects, communicate effectively, and provide direction across multiple teams.
