Quality Engineer-QSB (Automotive)

Location: San Luis Potosi, San Luis Potosi, Mexico

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
• At least 1 year of experience in the automotive industry, preferably in quality, quality systems, quality assurance, or manufacturing.
• Experience with product and process audits according to VDA, IATF 16949, and/or ISO 9001 standards.
• Knowledge of non-conforming processes, material management, quality tools, KPI reporting, and continuous improvement methodologies such as lean manufacturing.
• Knowledge of Microsoft Office; SAP experience is desirable.
• Conversational English is required.

Nice to have

• Knowledge of GD&T.
• ISO 19011 quality auditor certification.

What you will do

• Evaluate supplier parts across different commodities and assess acceptance quality through inspections and audits.
• Record non-conforming materials, validate quality incidents from other plants, and gather statistical data on defects and failures.
• Implement containment actions and create orders for sorting or rework using approved work instructions.
• Identify and analyze root causes, communicate corrective actions, and implement effective solutions.
• Perform activities according to ticket scopes and KPI targets and participate in regular meetings.
