Quality Engineer-CPT Junior (Automotive)

Location: San Luis Potosi, Mexico

What you will do

• Evaluate supplier parts across different commodities and assess acceptance against applicable quality standards.
• Conduct inspections, audits, and statistical measurements to identify failures, defects, and quality issues.
• Record non-conforming materials and validate quality incidents that may affect other plants.
• Implement containment actions when defective parts are identified.
• Create sorting and rework orders using approved work instructions.
• Apply problem-solving tools, implement corrective actions, and support KPI-aligned activities and regular meetings.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
• At least 1 year of experience in the automotive industry, preferably in quality, quality systems, quality assurance, or manufacturing.
• Experience with product and process audits based on VDA, IATF 16949, and/or ISO 9001 standards.
• Good knowledge of non-conforming processes, material management, quality processes, quality tools, KPI handling, and reporting.
• Knowledge of continuous improvement methodologies, including lean manufacturing.
• Conversational English and availability to rotate shifts are required.

Nice to have

• Knowledge of GD&T.
• ISO 19011 quality auditor certification.
• Knowledge of SAP.
• Experience with Microsoft Word, Access, Excel, and PowerPoint.
