Senior Software Development Engineer in Test (Python)

Location: US - Massachusetts; hybrid arrangement with required on-site work from an hirify.global office

Salary: $128,000–$191,975 annual base salary, plus potential incentive compensation

hirify.global is a medical device company developing the Omnipod insulin management platform and other wearable drug-delivery technologies for people with diabetes and other conditions.

What you will do

• Design, develop, and maintain robust Python-based test automation frameworks.
• Create, execute, and maintain automated tests in collaboration with software engineers.
• Participate in requirements analysis, design, implementation, testing, and documentation throughout the software development lifecycle.
• Improve testing methodologies, tools, and processes using current industry practices and emerging technologies.
• Validate software quality, reliability, and performance against regulatory and quality standards.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering, or a related field.
• 5+ years of experience as a QA Engineer or SDET focused on software test automation.
• Strong Python development experience, including test framework and automated test development.
• Familiarity with PyTest, Selenium with Python, CI/CD tools, and version control systems such as Jenkins and Git.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, collaboration, and attention-to-detail skills.

Nice to have

• Experience with object-oriented programming, design patterns, libraries, CI, and code coverage.
• Experience working closely with development and test teams in an Agile environment.
• Medical device or other regulated-industry experience.
