What you will do
- Design, develop, and maintain automated test scripts and supporting tools for embedded software applications.
- Contribute to the development and enhancement of automated test frameworks for electro-mechanical medical devices.
- Collaborate with software developers and product teams to identify automation opportunities and expand test coverage.
- Integrate and execute automated tests within CI/CD environments.
- Analyze test results, investigate failures, document defects, and resolve issues with engineering teams.
- Participate in Agile SDLC activities, including sprint planning, daily stand-ups, and retrospectives.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, or a related technical field.
- Minimum of 2 years of relevant experience in software development, test automation, or software verification.
- Proficiency in Python or a comparable object-oriented programming language.
- Solid understanding of the software development lifecycle (SDLC) and software testing methodologies.
- Must be based within a reasonable commuting distance of Chelmsford, MA.
- Must not require immigration sponsorship (e.g., H1B, TN, STEM, OPT) now or in the future.
Nice to have
- Experience with Pytest or similar automated test frameworks.
- Experience testing embedded software or hardware/software integrated systems.
- Familiarity with SSH, Jenkins, and Git.
- Knowledge of Google Test (gTest) framework for C++ unit testing.
- Basic networking knowledge, including TCP/IP and HTTP/HTTPS.
