hirify.global develops Terran R, a reusable launch vehicle designed to deliver customer payloads to orbit and expand commercial launch capacity.

What you will do

  • Apply fundamental and practical engineering methods to develop mechanical solutions for launch systems.
  • Interpret and coordinate engineering requirements between vehicle and ground-support teams.
  • Develop detailed 3D CAD models, 2D drawings, fluid-system schematics, and electrical schematics.
  • Perform structural, dynamic, and system-performance analyses using hand calculations and finite element methods.
  • Present designs to cross-functional teams and leadership, covering methodology, functionality, and constructability.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
  • At least 5 years of engineering experience in structural, mechanism, fluid-power, or related disciplines.
  • Proficiency with 3D CAD software such as SolidWorks, CATIA, or Creo.
  • Working knowledge of mechanical design principles, system integration, and structural analysis.
  • Experience interpreting technical requirements and collaborating across engineering disciplines.

Nice to have

  • Experience designing, manufacturing, and testing launch-vehicle interface mechanisms or tooling.
  • Familiarity with NASA, DoD, Space Force, or similar standards.
  • Knowledge of structural materials and common manufacturing processes.
  • Experience designing fluid systems involving high-pressure gases, cryogenics, flammables, or hydraulics.
  • Strong communication and documentation skills.
