Company

hirify.global develops aviation technology as part of a humanitarian mission focused on serving people globally.

What you will do

  • Design and develop complex mechanical, thermal, and fluid systems for flight and ground equipment.
  • Validate systems through structural and thermal analyses using classical engineering methods and simulation tools.
  • Create manufacturing drawings using GD&T standards and collaborate with manufacturing engineers and external machine shops on manufacturability and assembly.
  • Verify system integration against requirements and performance metrics with cross-functional engineering teams.
  • Build test plans, oversee qualification testing, and analyze mechanical, thermal, and fluid-system data.
  • Present design solutions, investigate non-conformances, and resolve failures through root cause analysis.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of professional engineering experience in the mechanical or aerospace industries.
  • Proficiency with CAD modeling and manufacturing drawings using SolidWorks or similar tools, plus experience with PDM/PLM systems.
  • Strong knowledge of mechanics of materials, thermodynamics, and fluid dynamics.
  • Experience with end-to-end design and sizing of mechanical structures, thermal management systems, and fluid-routing components.
  • Experience with GD&T, traditional manufacturing processes, and Finite Element Analysis using FEMAP/Nastran or similar tools.

Nice to have

  • Master’s degree in Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering.
  • Experience designing highly loaded and lightweight composite or metallic structural components.
  • Experience with coupled thermo-mechanical systems, active thermal management, and high-pressure fluid routing for extreme environments.
  • Expert-level use of Finite Element Analysis tools.

Culture & Benefits

  • Relocation assistance is available for the on-site role.
  • Medical, dental, and vision insurance through a PPO plan, with company-paid individual premiums.
  • Company-paid life, AD&D, short-term disability, and long-term disability insurance.
