PDM Technician

Location: Malaysia; onsite plant role with availability for all shifts, weekends, and 24/7 operations.

Medical device company developing the OmniPod insulin management platform and delivery systems for diabetes care and subcutaneous drug delivery.

What you will do

• Install, troubleshoot, repair, maintain, and improve process test equipment and automated assembly stations.
• Perform preventive maintenance, including cleaning, inspection, lubrication, and consumable parts replacement.
• Diagnose product mechanical errors, PCBA electrical issues, and operating inefficiencies in assembly processes.
• Lead or support root-cause investigations and implement corrective and preventive actions for test equipment issues.
• Document maintenance activities and communicate equipment issues to test engineers, team leaders, and supervisors.
• Support machine operation, adjustments, setups, changeovers, and cross-functional improvement projects.

Requirements

• Diploma in Electrical or Electronics Engineering, or an equivalent qualification.
• 3–4 years of direct experience with PCBA assembly, testing, debugging, and preferably automated assembly equipment optimization.
• Electrical and software aptitude, technical troubleshooting ability, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to read and understand technical drawings and equipment manuals.
• Hands-on experience with assembly methods, pneumatic actuators, servo motors, limit switches, robotics, and related equipment.
• Ability to work all shifts and some weekends in a 24/7, fast-paced, high-volume production environment.

Nice to have

• Strong PC skills and familiarity with C or LabVIEW.
• Knowledge of test plans, electronic development, PCBA production, functionality, and system interaction.
• Fluency in English and Malay.
