Technician 2, Manufacturing Equipment Maintenance (Mechanical/Electrical)

What you will do

• Perform scheduled preventive maintenance and basic inspections on media manufacturing production equipment.
• Assist senior technicians with equipment troubleshooting, repair, recovery, and production-downtime response.
• Diagnose and repair basic mechanical, electrical, and control-system issues under supervision.
• Document maintenance activities, findings, and equipment issues in the maintenance management system.
• Support machine upgrades, conversion activities, and equipment improvement projects with engineers and senior technicians.
• Maintain cleanroom housekeeping and safety compliance, escalating abnormal equipment conditions when required.

Requirements

• Diploma or Advanced/Higher Diploma in Mechanical, Electrical, Electronic, Mechatronics, or Electromechanical Engineering, or equivalent.
• 0–3 years of experience in manufacturing or equipment maintenance; relevant fresh graduates are encouraged to apply.
• Basic understanding of mechanical and electrical systems and equipment maintenance practices.
• Basic troubleshooting skills for mechanical and electrical components, plus the ability to follow maintenance procedures and work instructions.
• Ability to work 12-hour AWS shifts and support overtime when required.
• Ability to work onsite in Bayan Lepas, Malaysia and follow cleanroom discipline and safety procedures.

Nice to have

• Experience in sputter media or semiconductor manufacturing.
• Knowledge of high-vacuum technology, plasma processes, or thin-film deposition systems.
