Engineering Technician II (T2) 1st Shift (Electromechanical)

Location: Austin, TX, United States; onsite, 1st shift

Salary: $21.50–$29.20 per hour

What you will do

• Perform routine to moderately complex design, testing, checkout, fabrication, modification, troubleshooting, and assembly of electronic and electro-mechanical systems.
• Test and troubleshoot electrical and mechanical systems and subsystems at system and component level.
• Support new system and NPI installations, field upgrades, and equipment rework.
• Perform mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, vacuum, and process testing on hirify.global platforms.
• Work from schematics, diagrams, layouts, plans, and technical descriptions.
• Maintain logbooks, test procedures, quality notifications, and other engineering and manufacturing documentation.

Requirements

• Analytical skills and the ability to apply scientific methods to technical activities.
• Ability to recognize and solve typical problems using established procedures and technical methods.
• Ability to use hand and power tools and operate heavy machinery, including forklifts.
• Ability to stand, walk, bend, squat, kneel, climb, reach, work in tight spaces, and lift as required.
• Ability to distinguish colors and work in a noisy environment.
• Ability to work in a cleanroom and use required personal protective equipment, including coveralls, gloves, respirators, chemical aprons, and face shields.
