TL;DR

Focus on diagnosing complex system problems, interpreting technical diagrams, operating test equipment, and optimizing preventive maintenance schedules.

Location: Colorado Springs, Colorado, United States; onsite front-night shift

Salary: $19–$32 per hour

What you will do

  • Perform routine and preventive maintenance on semiconductor fabrication equipment.
  • Apply mechanical techniques and cleaning procedures to rebuild subassemblies and mainframe vacuum systems.
  • Work independently and collaboratively on physically demanding technical tasks while using required personal protective equipment.
  • Assist senior technicians with equipment verification testing after preventive maintenance.
  • Use process measurement data to assess maintenance quality and contribute to improving preventive maintenance schedules.
  • Complete training, certification, and personal improvement activities.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • 2+ years of related work experience or training required; education may substitute for experience at the company’s discretion.
  • Practical knowledge of electronics, mechanics, vacuum theory, safety, cleanroom protocol, and IC fabrication.
  • Ability to troubleshoot systems and learn diagnostic techniques for complex operational problems.
  • Ability to read electrical schematics, mechanical drawings, pneumatic diagrams, flow charts, and cause-and-effect diagrams.
  • Ability to lift, push, and pull approximately 50 pounds and work in environments involving electrical, mechanical, dust, gases, fumes, odors, noise, and vibration.

Nice to have

  • Associate technical degree in electronics or a military electronics certificate.
  • Experience setting up, operating, and interpreting oscilloscopes, digital volt-ohm meters, current and voltage sources, and chart recorders.
