  • Apply systems and software engineering principles to develop solutions for complex in-service and next-generation software systems.
  • Plan, design, develop, integrate, and verify system-of-systems solutions throughout the lifecycle.
  • Analyze and decompose requirements, review software designs, create test cases, procedures, and plans, and troubleshoot discrepancies.
  • Communicate with customers and users to clarify needs and resolve cross-functional technical challenges.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics, another STEM field, or equivalent professional experience.
  • 3–5+ years of relevant experience.
  • Knowledge of systems engineering and software engineering practices, requirements analysis, system behavior, testing, integration, and the Systems Engineering V-Model.
  • Ability to convert program requirements into viable technical solutions and communicate with customer subject-matter experts, designers, testers, and development teams.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain an active Secret U.S. Security Clearance.
  • Ability to work on-site at least four days per week in Arlington, San Diego, or Mount Laurel; approximately 10% travel is required.

Nice to have

  • Knowledge of AESA or DBF radar, distributed kill chains, combat systems, and distributed data management.
  • Experience with agentic AI workflows, SysML or UML, Agile development, and large complex or DoD software systems.
  • Experience implementing algorithms in C++, Python, MATLAB, or other languages.
  • Experience with data visualization, instrumentation, data reduction, software interfaces, and requirements management tools such as DOORS.

Culture & Benefits

  • Entrepreneurial culture with collaborative office-based engineering teams.
  • Competitive pay and benefits package, PTO, and paid holidays.
  • 401(k) with immediate vesting and matching.
  • Optional 9/80 schedule, with the second and fourth Friday off each month.
