Systems Engineer (Defense Technology)

What you will do

• Define, manage, and trace system requirements throughout the development lifecycle.
• Translate mission needs and operational analyses into key performance parameters and system-level requirements.
• Develop and maintain Model-Based Systems Engineering artifacts, including structural and behavioral diagrams.
• Develop data pipelines and containerized data systems for large-scale video storage, indexing, and retrieval.
• Build and refine models for subsystem, system, and system-of-systems performance analysis.
• Conduct engineering trade studies and evaluate architectures, operational concepts, cost, and technical feasibility.

Requirements

• At least 2 years of professional engineering experience in systems engineering, data engineering, or modeling and simulation.
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Aerospace Engineering, or a related technical field.
• Experience contributing to the definition or management of a technical system baseline.
• Proficiency in at least one programming language, such as Python, C, or C++.
• ITAR eligibility: U.S. citizenship or nationality, U.S. lawful permanent residency, refugee or asylee status, or eligibility to obtain the required U.S. Department of State authorizations.

Nice to have

• Advanced degree in a relevant discipline.
• Experience with RF systems, radar, communications, electronic warfare, or phased arrays.
• Familiarity with MBSE tools and methodologies.
• Experience with Docker and Kubernetes for deploying data systems.
• Knowledge of Department of Defense or defense contracting environments.
