IT Systems Engineer

Location: San Francisco, California, United States. Hybrid work with employees expected to be in the office at least three days per week.

Base salary for candidates in the San Francisco Bay Area: $142,000–$162,000 per year, plus potential bonus and RSUs.

What you will do

• Identify and solve automation and integration challenges across teams, business processes, and the employee lifecycle.
• Design, build, and maintain automations and integrations for identity and access management, endpoint management, security, compliance, and enterprise email deliverability.
• Contribute to cross-organizational projects that integrate and evolve corporate IT infrastructure, with an emphasis on infrastructure as code.
• Promote automation and AI adoption through enablement and education to reduce friction and manual work.
• Drive IT incident response in collaboration with InfoSec and engineering teams.
• Integrate and use AI and no-code infrastructure tools such as Tines and Workato.

Requirements

• 3–5 years of experience as a Systems Engineer.
• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to make data-driven discoveries and challenge assumptions.
• Good knowledge of a high-level programming language such as Ruby, Python, or Perl.
• Experience building and operating cloud-based systems without a traditional corporate network perimeter.
• Experience or familiarity with AWS, Okta, Google Workspace, Jamf Pro, Intune, Tines, and Workato.
• Ability to work in the San Francisco office at least three days per week under the hybrid policy.

Nice to have

• Experience with iPaaS platforms and enterprise email deliverability.
• Experience building scalable integrations between billing and ERP systems, preferably NetSuite.
