Propulsion Technician II, First Shift (Aerospace)

Location: Long Beach, California, United States. First shift, Monday through Friday, 5:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. PT, with a 50-hour workweek including 10 guaranteed overtime hours.

Salary: $27.20–$40.80 USD per hour.

What you will do

• Assemble and test Aeon-R engine components, sub-assemblies, and engines.
• Perform precision cleaning, hydrostatic proof testing, pneumatic leak checks, and flow testing.
• Support component assembly, component testing, and engine assembly processes.
• Help create and refine robust component and engine manufacturing processes.
• Collaborate cross-functionally on hardware iterations, manufacturing methods, systems, quality, cost, lead time, and safety.

Requirements

• Experience working on engines, primarily engine components.
• Familiarity with the architecture and nomenclature of gas generator cycle engines.
• Experience with high-pressure fluid system development and testing.
• Familiarity with electrical and mechanical system integration.
• Ability to read and interpret work instructions and engineering drawings.
• Strong technical, interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills.

Nice to have

• Familiarity with 5S manufacturing principles.
• Familiarity with Lean Manufacturing principles.
• Experience transitioning from development into high-volume production.
