Propulsion Test Technician III - C Shift (Aerospace)

Location: Long Beach, California, United States; onsite work at hirify.global headquarters. The role requires working Friday–Sunday from 5:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m., with flexibility for extended hours, weekends, and varied shifts. U.S. office candidates must meet ITAR eligibility requirements.

Base pay: $30–$40 USD per hour.

hirify.global is an end-to-end space company building rockets, spacecraft, and critical subsystems, including the reusable Neutron launch vehicle.

What you will do

• Test Rutherford rocket engines and their propulsion components, including thrust chambers, pumps, valves, plumbing, TVC actuators, and motor controllers.
• Perform high-pressure pneumatic operations using GN2 and helium.
• Set up and operate data acquisition and instrumentation systems, including FlexLogger and LabView.
• Troubleshoot and repair valves, regulators, pressure relief valves, pressure transducers, and check valves.
• Conduct hydrostatic testing and handle LN2 and other cryogenic components.
• Generate non-conformance reports and improve 5S practices in the work area.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience in high-pressure operations.
• Experience with data acquisition and instrumentation systems such as FlexLogger and LabView.
• Hands-on experience with valves, regulators, pressure relief valves, pressure transducers, and check valves.
• Experience handling LN2 and cryogenic components under test conditions.
• Ability to work onsite in Long Beach, California, on the Friday–Sunday C shift.
• For U.S. office roles, eligibility to access ITAR-regulated technology is required.

Nice to have

• 8+ years of mechanical assembly or mechanical fitting experience.
• Experience with torquing, safety or lock-wire installation, work-instruction-based assembly, proof testing, and leak testing.
• A&P, trade, or industry certification.
• Experience with in-space testing.
• Knowledge of manufacturing processes and continued product development.
