Facilities Coordinator II - Lab Operations (Biotech)

What you will do

• Maintain a safe, compliant, and efficient laboratory environment through facility walkthroughs, workstation setup and decommissioning, and equipment relocations.
• Track cell line inventory and capacity in Benchling and manage routine mycoplasma testing documentation.
• Coordinate inventory levels, stocking locations, shipping, receiving, and supply chain activities with Unity Lab Services.
• Direct EH&S initiatives, identify and remediate safety hazards, manage hazardous waste disposal, and maintain audit readiness.
• Partner with researchers and vendors to resolve issues involving services, instrumentation, consumables, gases, and equipment maintenance.
• Recommend site improvements and provide cross-functional operational coverage.

Requirements

• 3+ years of experience in facilities coordination, lab operations, or a related role.
• Experience in a lab-based environment is strongly preferred.
• Familiarity with shipping and receiving, including international logistics.
• Working knowledge of laboratory infrastructure such as gases, vacuum systems, and cold storage is preferred.
• Experience with EH&S practices and operational systems or tools is a plus.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds, climb, crouch, and perform physical laboratory tasks while using PPE and following safety protocols.
