Temporary Laboratory Technician (Chemistry)

Location: On-site in North Manchester, Indiana, United States. Schedule: 7:30 AM–4:00 PM, including some weekends.

What you will do

• Collect, label, and prepare plant process samples for laboratory analysis.
• Perform wet chemistry, microbiological, light microscopy, and quality control testing.
• Set up, operate, calibrate, and maintain laboratory instruments, including liquid chromatography, ion chromatography, NIR, centrifuges, pH meters, balances, and spectrophotometers.
• Test final products against specifications and perform quality assurance analysis of instruments, tools, and methods.
• Record and enter test results into standardized forms and the plant database, communicating findings to relevant personnel.
• Maintain laboratory safety, cleanliness, chemical labeling, equipment sterilization, and environmental compliance.

Requirements

• Completed junior-level university courses with a major in Chemistry or Biochemistry.
• Experience with HPLC, analytical balances, and pipettes.
• Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite and the ability to learn new programs.
• Strong integrity, problem-solving, critical-thinking, interpersonal, teamwork, and objective decision-making skills.
• Ability to work on-site in North Manchester, Indiana, including some weekends.
• Ability to use PPE and work at heights, in confined spaces, and in temperatures from -20°F to 100°F.
