Lab Technician (Environmental Waste Management)

What you will do

• Calibrate pH meters and scales, perform bump tests, and conduct routine sample analysis using basic laboratory instrumentation.
• Collect and analyze samples from incoming trucks, including Great 8 testing, and verify results against profile specifications.
• Review manifests, profiles, work orders, shipping documents, load data, and laboratory results in internal systems.
• Scale trucks, direct drivers during sampling and offloading, and maintain accurate daily records.
• Maintain QA/QC standards, laboratory housekeeping, supplies, sample disposal, and waste-handling procedures.
• Support weigh-master, sampler, receiver, and facility operations as needed.

Requirements

• 0–3 years of laboratory or related experience preferred.
• Basic understanding of chemistry, sample analysis, and laboratory safety procedures.
• Strong attention to detail, organization, communication, and teamwork skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, hands-on environment.
• Basic computer skills and experience with data-entry systems.
• Ability to follow OSHA, health and safety, regulatory, and compliance requirements.
