What you will do

  • Manage daily Quality Control Laboratory operations, testing activities, priorities, and laboratory staff.
  • Ensure compliance with safety policies, customer specifications, quality systems, process safety requirements, and environmental standards.
  • Review laboratory data and maintain scientific equipment, instrumentation, and computer systems in calibrated and validated condition.
  • Supervise Laboratory Analysts, including goal setting, coaching, training, hiring, performance reviews, and personnel issue resolution.
  • Support technical and quality audits, site visits, customer and supplier requests, and incident response.
  • Track laboratory KPIs and implement quality-system, Lean, and continuous-improvement initiatives.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in a scientific field such as Chemistry or Biology.
  • At least 3 years of experience as a team lead or supervisor.
  • Laboratory experience with analytical instrumentation such as GC, IR, NMR, GPC, ICP, or GFAAS.
  • Knowledge of laboratory methods and techniques.
  • Strong communication, time-management, collaboration, initiative, leadership, supervisory, coaching, and training skills.

Nice to have

  • Intermediate proficiency with applicable Microsoft Office Suite programs.
  • Experience with Gage R&R and Six Sigma.
  • Experience presenting seminars, overseeing projects, or implementing new services.
