Electrical Engineer (Aerospace)

Salary: $150,000–$180,000 per year, plus equity

What you will do

• Design and develop payload electronics, power distribution systems, and electrical interconnect solutions for flight hardware.
• Own designs from concept through schematic capture, PCB layout, manufacturing, and system integration.
• Source and test electrical components for operation in the space environment.
• Execute electrical test plans and troubleshoot systems using oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, and power meters.
• Maintain engineering documentation and electrical interface documents for satellite subsystems.
• Support assembly, integration, validation, and system-level testing on the satellite.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
• Fundamental knowledge of electronics, power systems, PCB layout, and signal integrity.
• Experience with embedded systems and interfaces such as I2C, SPI, CAN, and Ethernet.
• 3–5 years of experience taking electrical designs from schematics through layout, manufacturing, and system integration.
• Experience with electrical design and simulation tools such as Altium, KiCad, or SPICE.
• U.S. roles require U.S. citizenship, lawful permanent residence, or another protected status under applicable U.S. export-control regulations.

Nice to have

• Exposure to satellite systems, bus avionics, or payload electronics.
• Knowledge of space radiation effects and space design practices.
• Experience designing with FPGAs and microcontrollers.
