Data Analytics Manager (Power BI/Azure)

Location: Remote within Germany with monthly presence in Cologne; occasional on-site collaboration in Berlin or Cologne may be required.

What you will do

• Lead and develop Data Analytics professionals through coaching, performance management, career conversations, training, and certification planning.
• Provide functional and technical leadership across matrixed Data Product teams, advising on complex analytics, data modelling, and BI topics.
• Contribute hands-on to selected analytics initiatives and solve complex data challenges using Senior Data Analyst-level expertise.
• Establish standards and best practices for analytics engineering, data modelling, Power BI, self-service analytics, and AI-assisted development.
• Partner with Product Managers and Data Engineering leadership to align people, skills, technical quality, and delivery capabilities.
• Support workforce planning, recruiting, onboarding, and the development of internal and external analytics talent.

Requirements

• Strong hands-on background in Data Analytics or Analytics Engineering, with expertise comparable to a Senior Data Analyst.
• Strong understanding of SQL, data modelling, BI, and modern analytics architectures.
• Experience with modern cloud analytics platforms; Databricks, Power BI, Microsoft Fabric, and Azure are highly beneficial.
• At least 3 years of experience leading Data Analytics, Analytics Engineering, or comparable technical teams.
• Experience with coaching, performance management, hiring, feedback, and career development in a matrix organization.
• Ability to work remotely within Germany and attend monthly anchor days in Cologne.
