Software Engineering Team Lead (C#/.NET)

Location: Fully remote in the UK and parts of Europe, within UTC -1 to UTC +3 time zones

What you will do

• Lead a team of backend engineers across greenfield and legacy projects.
• Own the full software lifecycle from design and ideation through production support and decommissioning.
• Set architectural direction and provide technical guidance.
• Partner with the Product Manager on roadmap planning, prioritisation, and delivery.
• Build a servant-leadership environment focused on coaching and growing engineers.
• Ensure observability, automated testing, infrastructure as code, and continuous delivery are embedded in engineering practices.

Requirements

• Strong hands-on experience with C#/.NET backend development.
• Experience with Azure, AWS, or GCP; the primary cloud environment is Azure.
• Solid understanding of event-driven architecture and microservices, including messaging technologies such as Azure Service Bus, Kafka, or RabbitMQ.
• Experience leading or mentoring engineers in a collaborative environment.
• Ability to set technical direction and provide architectural guidance.
• Comfortable working with Product to shape roadmaps and drive delivery.

Nice to have

• Experience across multiple major cloud providers.
• Experience with Kafka or RabbitMQ in addition to Azure Service Bus.
