Engineering Team Lead (.NET)

Location: Melbourne VIC, Australia, with hybrid working. Successful candidates must have full-time Australian working rights and complete a National Police Record check.

What you will do

• Lead a software engineering team and manage direct reports.
• Partner with Product Management and Product Design to deliver product technology vision.
• Identify, evaluate, select, and implement technology solutions and partnerships.
• Design and lead technology strategy while enforcing engineering standards.
• Communicate technology capabilities to leadership, customers, partners, and vendors.
• Drive innovation and scale reliable systems as the customer base grows.

Requirements

• Experience leading, motivating, coaching, mentoring, and developing software engineers.
• Experience architecting and building robust, scalable cloud platforms for high-traffic sites.
• Knowledge of software engineering practices across coding, reviews, source control, builds, testing, and operations.
• Expertise in C# and .NET Core.
• Experience with ASP.NET MVC and web technologies including JavaScript, AngularJS, or React.
• Experience applying SOLID and microservices principles, with attention to scalability, reliability, performance, and cloud cost optimization.
