TL;DR
Lead Engineer (.NET) (C#/Angular/Azure): Leading engineering teams and delivering scalable Asset Management and Asset Servicing products with an accent on technical execution, secure software development, and high-performance systems. Focus on solution design, technical debt reduction, operational reliability, and building resilient cloud-based services with enterprise messaging and high-concurrency systems.
Location: London, United Kingdom; hybrid work with office attendance 6 days per month

What you will do
- Lead, coach, and mentor engineers while building a culture of accountability, performance, inclusion, and continuous improvement.
- Own project and product delivery, including planning iterations, prioritizing technical work, and managing team capacity.
- Translate business requirements into robust technical solutions and lead solution design sessions aligned with architecture and Secure SDLC principles.
- Develop and maintain services using C#, .NET, Angular, Azure, enterprise messaging systems, and modern databases.
- Address technical debt, contribute to scalable architecture, and drive innovation through proofs of concept.
- Support operational excellence through documentation, performance testing, incident resolution, root cause analysis, and an out-of-hours on-call rota approximately once every 3–4 weeks after onboarding.
Requirements
- Extensive experience leading software development teams with a strong execution record.
- Deep expertise in C# with .NET Framework and/or .NET Core, Angular SPA development, and Microsoft Azure cloud frameworks.
- Experience with enterprise messaging systems such as Azure Service Bus or RabbitMQ, Microsoft SQL Server, and relational database design.
- Experience developing high-concurrency, multithreaded systems and designing scalable, performant, and resilient services.
- Strong knowledge of Agile methodologies, secure software development practices, and Secure SDLC principles.
- Strong communication, problem-solving, stakeholder management, and people-development skills.
Nice to have
- NoSQL databases, Docker, Kubernetes, DevOps practices, or blockchain technologies such as Ethereum.
- Financial messaging protocols including SWIFT 15022, SWIFT/ISO 20022, or FIX.
- Experience in financial services or fintech.
