TL;DR
Senior Electrical Engineer (Aerospace): Designing, developing, and integrating aircraft arresting electrical and control systems across hardware and software domains with an accent on power and control circuit design, PLC-based systems, SCADA, and human-machine interfaces. Focus on defining system architectures, building prototypes, leading hardware/software integration and validation, and transitioning designs to manufacturing.

Location: Fully on-site at the Aston, Pennsylvania facility, United States

Salary: $115,000–$130,000 per year

Develops emergency arresting systems for military aircraft through its Curtiss-Wright Arresting Systems / ESCO business unit.

What you will do

  • Define electrical and control system architectures covering hardware, software, communications, and interfaces.
  • Develop system-level specifications, interface control documents, and hardware and software requirements.
  • Design power distribution, motor control, protection, signal conditioning, and control panel circuits.
  • Build proof-of-concept prototypes and lead hardware/software integration, subsystem testing, and full-system validation.
  • Transition designs to manufacturing through complete design packages for internal production or external sourcing.
  • Collaborate with engineering teams, program management, and customers while contributing to reusable frameworks and system engineering standards.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
  • At least 5 years of relevant experience.
  • Experience taking electrical and control systems from concept through design, integration, and acceptance testing.
  • Experience with SCADA and/or NI-based control and data acquisition systems.
  • Strong analytical, troubleshooting, communication, and technical leadership skills.
  • Must be a US citizen.

Nice to have

  • Experience in the defense or aerospace/defense industry.
  • Familiarity with industry standards for electrical engineering processes.
