Salary: $124,000–$186,000 USD annually

What you will do

  • Design, build, and integrate data and control systems for test infrastructure at Long Beach facilities.
  • Develop low-voltage control and instrumentation systems that engineers can safely operate.
  • Design complete solutions for high-voltage and specialized applications and train future operators.
  • Work hands-on with technicians to build, activate, troubleshoot, and debug electrical hardware.
  • Develop systems including motion-control equipment, power-distribution systems, wiring harnesses, portable data systems, PCBs, and motor and pump control cabinets.
  • Support operations and test-planning activities across multiple projects.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related field.
  • 5+ years of experience developing, activating, and troubleshooting electrical systems.
  • Strong knowledge of electrical-engineering fundamentals.
  • Experience designing and working with high-voltage DC electronics.
  • Ability to identify and mitigate risks in complex systems.
  • No previous aerospace experience is required.

Nice to have

  • Familiarity with SCADA, PLCs, NI, Beckhoff, or similar data and control systems.
  • Python or MATLAB experience for analysis and automation tools.
  • Experience with schematic-capture and PCB-design tools such as Altium.
  • Familiarity with SPI, Ethernet, EtherCAT, CAN, or Modbus communications.
